The Islamic Egyptian Society

The youth camp was a great success at YMCA Yarramundi! We had a fantastic turnout out of many boys and girls between the age of 12 and 18 with many activities and team building exercises. The objective of the camp was to empower and educate Muslim youth through team building and confidence building activities in an Islamic environment and the kids returned enlightened. 

Our humble little stall on Egypt day in Darling Harbour provided a good opportunity to raise awareness about the Islamic Egyptian Society, with our goals and aspirations giving people inspiration to be members of our community. Many colourful stalls surrounded the park in the centre of Darling Harbour, but we were proud to be the representation of an Islamic group amongst Egyptians. 

A successful program was held during the year aimed at discovering and developing Kids talents and mentoring them to become professionals and highly experienced talented people. Along with drawings and paintings, there were stage performances, sport, and many other activities!

Eid showed just how generous members were providing plenty of food for all during Eid ul Adha, and the hot and humid weather at the picnic didn't stop anyone from enjoying themselves.
